I’ve decided to run for reelection. Admittedly, there are many obstacles to being the first Two-Term President of the Montgomery County Bar Association but like my hero Zachary Taylor, I am not about to be dissuaded by the minor challenges of the Bar Association’s Constitution which prohibits reelection. I intend to seek a proper Constitutional Amendment to allow for free elections. However, I don’t think there is much chance of a favorable executive committee vote by Dan’s “Fellow Travelers.” Demonstrations in the street by paid anarchists seem a more effective solution. We’ll see.
Why would I be so extreme in holding onto “The Presidency”? Why would I unfairly and recklessly defame Dan, my friend and as honorable as a lawyer and person as I have ever met? Why would I foment the first violent change in administration since the founding of our beloved Association?
The next Bar Association luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6th. Glenn M. Grossman, Bar Counsel for the Attorney Grievance Commission, will be our guest speaker.
